# Fees

**Trading Fee**

MES Protocol charges a fixed trading fee of **0.3% for every transaction**. 

The fee is vital for sustaining the protocol’s operations. The team is committed to continuously monitoring the market to strive for the lowest possible costs for users.

**Gas Fee**

Gas fee involved in using MES is **minimal**. Gas fee is used for transferring asset to a smart contract at source chain.

For instance, the gas fee for depositing asset via MES is **0.00076ETH** as shown below.
